= Rikti Epic Archetype = Rikti is an epic archetype available to both heroes and villains.Players take on the role of a traditionalist (hero) or restructurist (villain). Mechanically, characters start off with three or four standard Rikti powers, then dip into Rikti power pools and normal power pools to specialize in a specific role(s). __TOC__ == Costumes == Like Arachnos characters, the Rikti's first costume slot is locked into being an actual Rikti, with a low-level story mission allowing you to acquire a normal costume slot disguising yourself as a human. In a world where spaghetti code wasn't an issue, any costumes in slots 3-10 could then be either Rikti or non-Rikti and changed at the tailor. Rikti have a choice between one of a few armor sets: * Infantry[br][sup](for minions like Coscripts, Guardians, etc.)[/sup] * Officers[br][sup](with helmet and shoulder options to go between Mentalist, Chief Soldier, and Magus)[/sup] * Ceremonial Armor[br][sup](for Priests, negotiators, etc.)[/sup] [[https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/paragon/images/d/d9/Rikti_Guardian.jpg]] [[https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/paragon/images/6/6b/Rikti_ChiefMentalist.jpg]] [[https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/paragon/images/6/6c/Rikti_ChiefSoldier.jpg]] [[https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/paragon/images/c/c4/Rikti_Priest.jpg]] ... and, of course, these can be recolored. (Headman Gunman armor was excluded because the permanent gun hand may cause clipping issues. You could custom model it with two regular hands, if anything. Heavy Assault Suit will be available as a power below.) The costume also comes with a weapon - the Rikti gun-rifle. The kind that was given to them after their visual update, as opposed to the old sword-only or rifle-only weapon models. == Alignment & Story == Rikti can start as either a hero or villain. Heroes are members of the traditionalists and serve as liaisons with Freedom Corps while villains are members of the restructurists working tenuously with Arachnos. Each side has its own contact to fulfill the epic (as in story) portion of being an Epic Archetype. Additionally, Angus McQueen and Ambassador Kuhr'Rekt will have an extra story arc for Rikti players on top of their normal arcs. == Powers == As with other epic archetypes, Rikti have their own power set format. The bulk of Rikti powers come from Rikti specialization pools, of which characters can choose up to four per build. === Primary & Secondary === At a base line, the Rikti primary and secondary sets come with only two powers each: ==== Rikti Weapon ====
Power Level Effect
Rikti Rifle 1 (Ranged) Foe High Damage (Energy), Chance to Disorient
Rikti Sword 1 (Melee) Foe Moderate Damage (Lethal, Energy), Chance to Knockdown
==== Rikti Armor ==== {{ {|Power|Level|Effect} { |Rikti Armor|1|[Auto] Self +Resistance (Smashing, Lethal, Energy, Recharge)} { |Rikti Training|2|[Auto] Self +Resistance (Psionic), +Protection (Confuse, Fear, Sleep)} }} === Inherent Power === {{ {|Power|Level|Effect} { |Adept|-|[Auto] Self +Special} }} The Rikti inherent power is Adept. Through the power of sharing knowledge via the Rikti psionic network, mastering general skills is easy. In your hands, powers from power pools use secondary set modifiers instead of pool modifiers, making them more potent for you than for non-Rikti characters. This allows a Rikti to pick powers that will fill their chosen role(s) more completely, acting alongside the Rikti power pools below to replace traditional primary and secondary powers. === Rikti Power Pools === Rikti have access to specialization pools. At four powers each, characters can choose their specialties piecemeal. Each build is limited to four Rikti power pools, similar to (but not counting against) regular power pools. This fills in the space left by their primary and secondary sets. The specialization pools do not have pre-requisites like normal power pools; only minimum level requirements per power. ==== Soldier ==== {{ {|Power|Level|Effect} { |Blade Slice|6|(Melee Cone) Foe Moderate Damage (Lethal, Energy), Chance to Disorient} { |Blade Eviscerate|12|(Melee) Foe High Damage (Lethal, Energy), Chance to Disorient} { |Blade Swing|18|(Melee) Foe High Damage (Lethal, Energy), Chance to Knockdown, Chance to Disorient} { |Blade Carve|24|(Melee Cone) Foe High Damage (Lethal, Energy), Chance to Disorient} }} ==== Headman ==== {{ {|Power|Level|Effect} { |Plasma Volley|6|(Ranged Cone) Foe Moderate Damage (Smashing, Energy), Knockback} { |Aim|12|Self +Tohit, +Damage} { |Plasma Snipe|18|(Snipe) Foe Superior Damage (Smashing, Energy), Knockback} { |Plasma Burst|24|(Ranged AOE) Foe Moderate Damage (Smashing, Energy), Chance to Knockback} }} * These powers would use the sword-rifle weapon model since we didn't include the Headman Gunman model} ==== Mentalist ==== {{ {|Power|Level|Effect} { |Mental Blast|6|(Ranged) Foe High Damage (Psionic), -Recharge} { |Mesmerize|12|(Ranged) Foe Moderate Damage (Psionic), Sleep} { |Dominate|18|(Ranged) Foe Moderate Damage (Psionic), Hold} { |Mass Hypnosis|24|(Ranged AOE) Foe Sleep} }} ==== Magus ==== {{ {|Power|Level|Effect} { |Lightning Bolt|6|(Ranged) Foe High Damage (Energy), -Endurance, -Recovery; Self Chance for +Endurance} { |Block of Ice|12|(Ranged) Moderate Damage (Cold), Hold, -Recharge, -Speed} { |Fire Ball|18|(Ranged AOE) Foe Moderate Damage (Smashing, Heat), Minor Damage-over-Time (Heat)} { |Stalagmites|24|(Ranged AOE) Foe Minor Damage (Lethal), Disorient, -Defense (All)} }} ==== Guardian ==== {{ {|Power|Level|Effect} { |Protection Shield|6|(Ranged AOE) Ally +Defense (Smashing, Lethal, Heat, Cold, Energy, Negative)} { |Radiation Emission|12|(PBAOE) Ally/Self Heal} { |Accelerate Metabolism|18|(PBAOE) Ally/Self +Damage, +Recovery, +Recharge, +Speed, +Resistance (Disorient, Hold, Immobilize, Sleep)} { |Call Drones|24|(Ranged) Summon Pets (Rikti Drone x2)} }} Rikti Drone [[right|https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/paragon/images/b/b3/AdvancedDrone1.jpg]] {{ {|Power|Effect} {|Resistance|[Auto] Self +Defense (Melee, Ranged), +Resistance (Smashing, Heat, Cold, Energy, Negative, Psionic), +Protection (Sleep, Fear)} {|Fly|[Auto] Self +Fly} {|Drone Blast|(Ranged) Foe High Damage (Energy), Chance to Knockdown} {|Despawn|[Delayed (240s)] Self Dismiss} }} The Rikti Drone's appearance can be customized to lock in a specific palette but, by default, grows with the character - starting off as the dark blue drone from 24-33, switching to green Improved Drone from 35-47, and finally evolving to the white Advanced Drone at 48 and above.
==== Communications Officer ==== {{ {|Power|Level|Effect} { |Transponder|6|(Location) Summon Henchmen (Rikti Soldier x1-3)} { |Scan Target|12|(Ranged) Foe -Resistance (All), -Defense (All); Self +Special (see target's Combat Attributes)} { |Rikti Monkey Swarm|18|(Ranged) Summon Pets (Rikti Monkey x10)} { |Teleport Bomb|24|(Location) Summon Pseudopet (Rikti Bomb)} }} Rikti Soldier [[right|https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/paragon/images/f/f8/Rikti_Conscript.jpg]] {{ {|Power|Effect} {|Resistance|[Auto] Self +Resistance (Smashing, Lethal, Energy, Psionic, Confuse, Fear, Sleep)} {|Rikti Rifle|(Ranged) Foe Moderate Damage (Energy), Chance to Knockback, Chance to Disorient} {|Rikti Sword|(Melee) Foe Moderate Damage (Lethal, Energy), Chance to Knockback, Chance to Disorient} }} Rikti Soldiers are treated as henchmen - they can be given commands and the number summoned varies by level. To avoid undermining Masterminds, their thresholds for headcount are 6 (when you can pick up the power), 16, and 26. They don't have upgrades but, given the slew of powers you can take for support and for yourself as well as the ability to micromanage them, hopefully that balances things out.

It provides excellent protection and firepower on top of flight capabilities. (The Heavy Assault Suit is treated as a transformation similar to the Kheldian nova and dwarf forms. However, a power pick is not needed for the transformation and no powers are granted by it. Instead, the transformation power is unlocked by taking any of the powers from the HVAS pool. While active, the character gains flight, additional damage resistance, bare-bones mez protection, and increased max health but is locked into using the powers from that pool with few exceptions.) {{ {|Power|Level|Effect} { |Laser Lance|6|(Ranged) Foe Moderate Damage (Energy), -Defense} { |Sweeping Laser|12|(Ranged Cone) Foe Moderate Damage (Energy), -Defense} { |Fusion Explosion|18|(Ranged AOE) Foe Minor Damage (Energy), Minor Damage-over-Time (Energy), -Resistance (All), -Regeneration} { |Fusion Overload|24|(PBAOE) Foe High Damage (Energy), Minor Damage-over-Time (Energy), -Resistance (All), -Regeneration} { |Armored Exoskeleton|-|[Toggle] Self Transform, +Max HP, +Resistance (Smashing, Lethal, Heat, Cold, Energy, Negative, Toxic, Psionic), +Fly, +Protection (Disorient, Hold, Immobilize, Sleep)} }} === Epic Power Pools === ==== Decay Mastery ==== Your patron is Death: Rider * Cloak of Fear (can use in HVAS) * Heart of Darkness * Death Shroud * Siphon Life * Soul Transfer ==== Diseaese Mastery ==== Your patron is Pestilence: Rider * Envenom * Weaken * Radiation Infection?
