It is a mystical island, steeped in perpetual night, that appears and disappears from the Rogue Isles. It has earned a reputation as a place where the ocean spits out its unwanted - castaways on a mystic prison with no escape. The villains serves as a rough equivalent for Croatoa, providing a story-centric zone and an alternative for Nerva Archipelago. It also provides a place where villains can hunt Ghosts spawned by the Ghost Ship for the Ectoplasmic badge. Over the course of the story arcs tied to the zone, it is revealed that the island was both the home of a splinter group of Ravenwing Cabal and the crash site of a group of Nicti who were stranded on Earth with no hosts. The Cabal, attempting to harness the power of the Shadow Cysts that the Nicti had formed to survive, created an anomaly. The island, mixed with the Nicti's gravimetric powers and the witches' magic protecting the isle, spirited it away to an adjacent plane of existence not unlike the Shadowed Paths of Praetoria.
