Universal mechanics in the genre are assumed to apply here. Characters' primary attack is generally their danmaku/shot, spell cards serve as cooldown abilities, and ultimates are labeled las words.

All characters also have access to an energy meter, inspired by Gundam Evolution and similar to Scarlet Weather Rhapsody's spirit bar, which can be used to perform a short dash, sprint for extended periods, or slow their aerial descent. Dashing also grazes most danmaku projectiles, passing through them entirely without touching them.
