A hypothetical, fan-made Touhou Project parody in the style of hero shooters like Overwatch, Gundam Evolution, and Marvel Rivals.
Characters are split into one of four roles: damage, control, tank, and support.
Most general gaming and FPS terms can be applied freely. Some select terms have been specially tailored to the Touhou motif.
A character's primary attack. Akin to main weapons in other games.
A character's cooldown abilities.
Every character has two set abilities and some may have an extra sub-ability either as part of their danmaku, melee attack, or one of their spell cards.
A character's ultimate ability.
Extra health beyond a character's normal maximum.
Overhealth decays slowly over time even when not taking damage.
Barriers are spell cards or sub-abilities that project a shield with its own health separate from a character's.
Barrier Health is separate health on a character that intercepts damage first except from melee attacks.
Characters have spirit power which can be used to increase mobility.
All characters have the same maximum spirit which is divided into 1-3 sections.
Holding the dash button (SHIFT) consume spirit over time to dash along the ground with increased movement speed.
Holding the jump button (SPACE) while in the air to use spirit to slow their aerial descent.
Tapping the dash button (SHIFT) consumes a section of spirit to perform a short dodge that phases through (most) danmaku.
Some characters may have abilities that allow them to fly with or without consuming spirit.
For distinction: "flight" refers to constant, forward movement while "free-flight" refers to the ability to move in any direction as well as hover in place.
(Forward-moving flight is generally faster than free-flight.)
Deals additional damage over time to a character.
Slows a character's movement and the speed that their spell cards recharge.
Disables a character's spell cards and last word.
Stops a character from moving or acting for a time. Ends early if they take damage.
Briefly stops a character's movement.
Stops a character from moving or acting for a time.
