While the original games found their home on Sony consoles, the series moved largely to Nintendo starting with [i]Monster Hunter Tri[/i] for the Wii. {Wiredash|Use a wirebug to pull yourself into the air. Like Pikachu/Pichu, its angle can be changed by holding a direction and it can be used twice in rapid succession.
{Lance Counter|A counter attack that blocks attacks with the lance's shield and then retaliates with a lance thrust.
{Anchor Rage|A wirebug counter that boosts your attack for several seconds instead of retaliating. The strength of the boost depends on the damage of the attack that was blocked.
{Shield Tackle|An advancing strike with your lance's shield deployed. Blocks attacks from the front and reflects projectiles.
